Wollongong Wolves Football Club is delighted to announce the new signings of Sudanese International Yagoub Mustafa and midfielder Andre Takami for the 2024 NPL season.

Mustafa, a 24-year-old attacker, joins the Wolves from South Melbourne in the Victorian NPL. From Western Australia, he spent three seasons in the Perth Glory system before moving to Victorian powerhouse Bentleigh Greens. From there, he moved to Hume City and then to South Melbourne. He has also played in the South Sudan international team.

Mustafa was excited to be joining the Wolves and was looking forward to a successful 2024 “I’m a direct player, so I like how training is direct and I’m building a good connection with the boys and what they know on the field. Football wise, the Wolves play an attacking style of football which suits the way I play. I am very happy to have signed for this great club and looking forward to a successful year” Mustafa said.

Takami, a 22-year-old midfielder, joins the Wolves from Illawarra Premier League club Wollongong Olympic. During his teenage years, he spent 3 years playing in Japan before moving to Australia and having stints with some NPL clubs including Mt Druitt Town Rangers.

Takami was delighted to be joining the Wolves “I’m still young at this point, so I wanted to take on that challenge to see how far I could go. This Wolves team has a lot of energy, especially in our attack. The level of intensity in our sessions is high and gets everyone going. Everyone has been working hard so hopefully we can play finals this year” Takami said.
